We provide an individualized curriculum for all ages, based on your instrument of choice. The Academy can combine conventional methods of teaching music, including practical, theoretical & performance techniques, with innovative technology methods that allow our students to progress smoothly and quickly. Schaumburg Academy of Music offers a complete musical education for students of all ages and ability. If you are a beginner, your instruction will consist of a series of 30 minute hands-on private lessons on the instrument of your choice. If you have had music lessons or are presently taking private or group lessons, a customized curriculum will be prepared for you. The Schaumburg Academy of Music faculty will build on your present level of proficiency. The individual instruction format at the Academy is especially suitable for the more experienced musician. You will learn solo as well as ensemble skills, and will develop proven performance techniques. We will prepare you to sit in a chair in an ensemble of any size.
Young students can be started on their musical education on either the piano or violin. Individual class instruction will be structured to meet their attention spans and abilities. Fourth of Fifth grade students who are taking part in grade school programs can be helped enormously by taking private lessons on their string, brass, woodwind, or percussion instrument. Such lessons are taught by an instructor who is qualified in the instrument and are generally 30 minutes long.
These private classes are aimed at adults of all ages who have always wanted to learn an instrument but never had the time or opportunity, and those who have studied an instrument & now wish to resume it. Our faculty will teach you with patience and understanding to make this an enjoyable experience.
